Abstract
Una dispersión acuosa contiene partículas poliméricas de múltiples etapas y opcionalmente una hidrazida carboxílica polifuncional que contiene al menos dos grupos hidrazida por molécula, donde las partículas poliméricas de múltiples etapas se preparan mediante un proceso de polimerización con radicales libres de múltiples etapas que comprende: (i) preparar un primer polímero mediante una polimerización con radicales libres, seguido de la neutralización del primer polímero a un valor de pH mayor de 7.1; y (ii) preparar un segundo polímero en la presencia del primer polímero neutralizado obtenido de la etapa (i), para obtener las partículas poliméricas de múltiples etapas que comprenden el primer polímero y el segundo polímero en una relación en peso del primer polímero con respecto al segundo polímero de 27:73 a 60:40; donde el primer polímero comprende de 6 % a 18 % de unidades estructurales de un monómero ácido, una sal de este, o mezclas de este; de 1.1 % a 5 % de unidades estructurales de un monómero funcional de silano monoetilénicamente insaturado; de cero a 10 % de unidades estructurales de (met)acrilamida de diacetona, mayor que 0.5 % de unidades estructurales de un monómero multifuncional que contiene dos o más grupos polimerizables etilénicamente insaturados diferentes, y 60 % o más de unidades estructurales de un monómero no iónico monoetilénicamente insaturado adicional seleccionado de éster alquílico C1 a C2 de ácido (met)acrílico, un (met)acrilato de hidroxialquilo o mezclas de estos; todo el porcentaje en peso en relación con el peso del primer polímero; donde el segundo polímero comprende de cero a menos de 0.5 % de unidades estructurales de un monómero ácido, una sal de este o mezclas de estos; de cero a 10 % de unidades estructurales de (met)acrilamida de diacetona, y unidades estructurales de un monómero no iónico monoetilénicamente insaturado, todo el porcentaje en peso en relación con el peso del segundo polímero; y donde el segundo polímero tiene una temperatura de transición vítrea de -25 a 10 °C, y el primer polímero tiene una temperatura de transición vítrea de al menos 50 °C mayor que la del segundo polímero; siempre que al menos uno del primer polímero y el segundo polímero comprende unidades estructurales de (met)acrilamida de diacetona y la concentración total de unidades estructurales de (met)acrilamida de diacetona es 1.1 % o más, en peso basado en el peso de las partículas poliméricas de múltiples etapas.
