Abstract
La presente invención proporciona un material de molde a partir del cual es posible formar favorablemente un molde que puede suprimir o prevenir eficazmente el desarrollo de defectos de fundición relacionados con el agarrotamiento, inserción, etc. Este material de formación de moldes comprende una mezcla que contiene un agregado ignífugo y una resina fenólica de tipo novolac modificada sola o una combinación entre la resina de fenol de tipo novolac modificada y una resina fenólica de tipo resol, y se prepara exponiendo, al calor durante 1 hora a una temperatura de 500 °C, un producto curado de dicha resina sola o una combinación de dichas resinas en una atmósfera de nitrógeno de tal manera que la tasa de volatilización, del producto curado, representada por la tasa de reducción de peso se convierte en 45-60 %.
