Abstract

Se proporciona un método para ajustar un troquel de ranura, el troquel de ranura tiene una ranura de aplicador que se extiende a través de un ancho del troquel de ranura, en donde el troquel de ranura comprende la primera y segunda superficies de troquel de ranura opuestas, y en donde la ranura de aplicador está en comunicación fluida con un trayecto de flujo de fluido a través del troquel de ranura. El troquel de ranura incluye el primer y segundo mecanismos de ajuste acoplados operativamente a la primera y segunda superficies de troquel de ranura, respectivamente. El método incluye asignar una configuración objetivo para el primer mecanismo de ajuste basado en un perfil de trama transversal preseleccionado para un producto extrudido; con esa configuración objetivo, determinar un perfil de altura de ranura correspondiente a una pluralidad de ubicaciones a lo largo de la primera y segunda superficies de troquel de ranura opuestas; predecir, con un controlador, un conjunto de configuraciones discretas de una pluralidad de configuraciones discretas basado tanto en el perfil de altura de ranura como en el perfil de trama transversal preseleccionado, la predicción se basa en una correlación conocida entre el conjunto de configuraciones discretas y un perfil de trama transversal del producto extrudido; y establecer una posición para cada uno de una pluralidad de accionadores acoplados al segundo mecanismo de ajuste de acuerdo con el conjunto previsto de configuraciones discretas.
