Abstract

La invención se refiere a un método para tostar granos de café en un sistema de tostado, dicho sistema comprende: - un aparato tostador (1), y - una unidad de tratamiento de humo (2) configurada para tratar el humo producido por el aparato tostador, dicha unidad de tratamiento de humo comprende al menos un precipitador electrostático (222), dicho precipitador electrostático comprende al menos una celda, dicha celda comprende cables de ionización, electrodos recolectores y electrodos repelentes y dichos cables de ionización se suministran con una energía eléctrica para aplicar un voltaje alto V a los cables de ionización, en donde, durante cada operación de tostado implementada en el aparato tostador, el método comprende las etapas de: - monitorear el voltaje V en los cables de ionización y/o los electrodos a lo largo del tiempo de la operación de tostado, si el voltaje monitoreado se vuelve inferior a un umbral de voltaje predeterminado V0 durante un período de tiempo de la operación de tostado, y - si dicho período de tiempo, donde el voltaje V monitoreado es inferior a dicho umbral de voltaje más bajo V0 es superior a un umbral de tiempo predeterminado ?t, entonces mostrar una alarma de limpieza.
