Abstract
La invención proporciona un proceso para remover cianuro de un fluido acuoso que contiene cianuro, el proceso que comprende: (i) adicionar una composición sólida que comprende un primer complejo de cianuro de metales mixtos que comprende cobre y hierro a un fluido acuoso que contiene cianuro que comprende cianuro libre y cianuro vuelto complejo con metales, en donde al menos una porción del primer complejo de cianuro de metales mixtos se disuelve, con formación de complejos del cobre por el cianuro libre, para producir una solución acuosa que comprende cianometalatos, los cianometalatos que comprenden complejos de cianuro de hierro y cianuro de cobre derivados del primer complejo de cianuro de metales mixtos; (ii) poner en contacto la solución acuosa con un absorbente de intercambio aniónico para absorber los cianometalatos, produciendo de este modo un fluido acuoso pobre en cianuro; (iii) extraer el absorbente de intercambio aniónico que comprende los cianometalatos absorbidos con al menos un extractante acuoso no ácido para producir un extracto acuoso que comprende los complejos de cianuro de hierro y cianuro de cobre; y (iv) acidificar el extracto acuoso para producir un precipitado que comprende un segundo complejo de cianuro de metales mixtos que comprende cobre y hierro.
