Abstract

Η παρούσα εφεύρεση αναφέρεται στη μέθοδο σύνθεσης ενός προσροφητικού υλικού που αποτελείται από μια φάση φεροξίτη τετρασθενούς μαγγανίου (δ-Fe(1-x)MnxOOH), στο οποίο ένα ποσοστό σιδήρου έχει ισόμορφα υποκατασταθεί από άτομα μαγγανίου σε ποσοστό 0,05-25 τοις εκατό. Η παραγωγή του γίνεται σε αντιδραστήρα συνεχούς ροής δύο σταδίων υπό όξινες συνθήκες (ρΗ 4-7) και υψηλό δυναμικό οξειδοαναγωγής (300-800 mV). Το υλικό μπορεί να χρησιμοποιηθεί για την προσρόφηση τόσο του πεντασθενούς, όσο και του τρισθενούς αρσενικού, καθώς και άλλων βαρέων μετάλλων από το νερό. Ειδικότερα, η προσροφητική ικανότητα και η εκλεκτικότητά του ανάλογα με την περιεκτικότητα του νερού σε τρισθενές και πεντασθενές αρσενικό καθορίζονται από το ποσοστό μαγγανίου και από την συμπαγή ή κοίλη μορφολογία της δομικής του μονάδας που μπορούν να ρυθμιστούν από τις παραμέτρους της διαδικασίας σύνθεσης.
