Abstract
Se divulgan células de levadura que tienen GPP sintasa peroxisómicamente ubicadas y una enzima peroxisómicamente ubicada que convierte a GPP en monoterpenoides, cannabinoides, alcaloides indol-monoterpénicos y compuestos aromáticos prenilados; o un precursor de estos. Por lo tanto, estas células de levadura son capaces de producir cantidades mejoradas de monoterpenoides, cannabinoides, alcaloides indol-monoterpénicos y compuestos aromáticos prenilados, en comparación con las mismas células de levadura donde la GPP sintasa y la enzima que convierte la GPP se encuentran en el citoplasma.
