Abstract

Se proporciona en una modalidad un proceso continuo para convertir residuos plásticos en reciclaje para la polimerización de polietileno. El proceso comprende seleccionar residuos plásticos que contienen polietileno y/o polipropileno, y pasar los residuos plásticos a través de un reactor de pirólisis para craquear térmicamente por lo menos una porción de los residuos de poliolefina y producir un efluente pirolizado. El efluente pirolizado se separa en gas residual, un aceite de pirólisis y, opcionalmente, cera que comprende una nafta/diésel y fracción pesada, y carbón. El aceite de pirólisis se hace pasar hacia una unidad de FCC de refinería desde la cual se recupera una fracción de mezcla de olefina/parafina de gas licuado de petróleo C3, así como una fracción de mezcla de olefina/parafina C4. En una modalidad, el aceite de pirólisis se pasa primero a un pretratamiento de alimentación de FCC. La fracción de mezcla de olefina/parafina de gas licuado de petróleo C3 se pasa hacia un craqueador de vapor para la producción de etileno. La fracción de mezcla de olefina/parafina C4 se pasa hacia una unidad de alquilación de refinería, de la cual se recupera una alimentación de n-butano y nafta para que un craqueador de corriente produzca etileno.
