Abstract

La tecnología descrita en el presente documento se relaciona generalmente con cartuchos microfluídicos. Más particularmente, la tecnología se relaciona con una almohadilla comprimible aplicada a un cartucho microfluídico, en donde el cartucho microfluídico se configura para amplificar los nucleótidos de interés, particularmente de varias muestras biológicas en paralelo, dentro de los canales microfluídicos en el cartucho y permitir la detección de esos nucleótidos. Las almohadillas comprimibles de la presente tecnología pueden implementarse en cartuchos microfluídicos que tienen volúmenes de la cámara de reacción mejorados, resultando en una uniformidad térmica y eficiencia de la amplificación mejoradas en el cartucho. Los ensayos que utilizan los cartuchos microfluídicos de la presente tecnología exhiben de manera ventajosa, un límite de detección (LOD) mejorado y un límite de cuantificación (LOQ) mejorado.
