Abstract

La invención hace referencia a terpolímeros y copolímeros acrílicos que incorporan Tg elevada, (met)acrilatos hidrofóbicos que tienen una estabilidad térmica elevada y excelentes propiedades ópticas. Estos copolímeros son ópticamente translúcidos y proporcionan un copolímero con una Tg de 115-140 ºC, junto con un peso molecular suficientemente elevado. El copolímero presenta una resistencia elevada al calor, una transmisión de luz elevada, baja turbidez, baja absorción de humedad, excelente estabilidad ambiental, excelente estabilidad térmica a temperatura elevada y excelentes propiedades mecánicas, junto con una resistencia excelente a UV. El copolímero o terpolímero puede utilizarse para formar tuberías de iluminación, piezas de paredes delgadas, lentes ópticas, películas extruidas, láminas/perfiles (co)extruidos, láminas termoformables, láminas fundidas, compuestos, etc.
