Se proveen polinucleótidos aislados y constructos de ácido nucleico que comprenden una secuencia de ácido nucleico que es, al menos, 80% idéntica a la secuencia de ácido nucleico seleccionada del grupo formado por los NRs ID DE SEC: 1-219, 367-5628, 9688-9700, y 9709-9752; y polipéptidos aislados que comprenden una secuencia homóloga con respecto a una secuencia aminoácida seleccionada del grupo formado por los NRs ID DE SEC: 220-366, 5629-9400, 9701-9708, y 9753-9796. También se proveen células transgénicas y plantas que las expresan, y métodos para utilizarlas para mejorar el rendimiento, tasa de crecimiento, biomasa, vigor, contenido de aceite, rendimiento de semilla, rendimiento de la fibra, calidad de la fibra, eficacia en el uso de nitrógeno y/o estrés abiótico de la planta.
