Abstract
La invención trata del diseño y método de producción de una estructura de refuerzo de piso frontal 1 para un vehículo 3 que tiene un paquete de batería 5 en el túnel 7 diseñado para mejorar la absorción de energía del vehículo durante un impacto lateral al involucrar el panel frontal de piso 11 en la absorción de energía durante el impacto lateral. La estructura de refuerzo de piso frontal 1 comprende un miembro frontal transversal de piso 13 que tiene una porción no deformable 14 localizada sobre el extremo del miembro frontal transversal de piso 13 más próximo al estribo lateral 9 y una porción deformable 16 localizada sobre el extremo del miembro frontal transversal de piso 13 más próximo hacia el túnel 7. La resistencia a la deformación plástica de la porción no deformable 14 es mayor que la resistencia a la deformación plástica de la porción deformable 16, la cual por sí misma es mayor que la resistencia a la deformación plástica del panel frontal de piso 11.
