Abstract

La presente invención se refiere a composiciones que comprenden nanoplaquetas de plata, en las que el diámetro medio de las nanoplaquetas de plata, presentes en la composición, está en el intervalo de 20 a 70 nm con una desviación estándar inferior al 50% y el espesor medio de las nanoplaquetas de plata, presente en la composición, está en el intervalo de 5 a 30 nm con una desviación estándar inferior al 50%, donde la relación de aspecto media de las nanoplaquetas de plata es superior a 1.5, a un proceso para su producción, a tintas de impresión que contienen las composiciones y a su uso en productos de seguridad. El máximo de absorción de longitud de onda más alto de la población de todas las nanoplaquetas de plata en la composición está dentro del intervalo de 450 a 550 nm. Un revestimiento, que comprende la composición, muestra un color rojo o magenta en la transmisión y un color verdoso-metálico en la reflexión.
