Abstract
En un sistema audiovisual, en donde el video se visualiza en una pantalla que no permite que el sonido pase a través de la pantalla, tal como un panel de diodos emisores de luz, un altavoz de alta frecuencia colocado sobre un área de asientos de la audiencia puede dirigir el sonido hacia la pantalla para que la pantalla pueda reflejar el sonido hacia el área de asientos de la audiencia. El altavoz de alta frecuencia se puede utilizar con uno o más altavoces de baja frecuencia colocados a la altura del área de asientos de la audiencia o cerca de ella. Puede parecer que los sonidos de baja frecuencia y alta frecuencia se originan cerca de la misma altura, creando así una imagen de audio realista en el área de asientos de la audiencia. Un filtro espectral puede anular los efectos espectrales de la propagación y la reflexión desde la pantalla. Los retardos de tiempo adecuados pueden sincronizar el sonido de alta frecuencia con el sonido de baja frecuencia y con el video visualizado en la pantalla.
