Abstract
Un codificador (100) incluye: la circuitería (a1); y la memoria (a2) acoplada a la circuitería (a1). En funcionamiento, la circuitería (a1): deriva un vector de movimiento base que se usará en la predicción de un bloque actual que se codificará; deriva un primer vector de movimiento diferente del vector de movimiento base; deriva una diferencia de vector de movimiento basada en una diferencia entre el vector de movimiento base y el primer vector de movimiento; determina si la diferencia del vector de movimiento es mayor que un umbral; modifica el primer vector de movimiento cuando se determina que la diferencia del vector de movimiento es mayor que el umbral, y no modifica el primer vector de movimiento cuando se determina que la diferencia del vector de movimiento no es mayor que el umbral; y codifica el bloque actual usando el primer vector de movimiento modificado o el primer vector de movimiento no modificado.
