Abstract

Un sistema, método y ensamble para detectar el estado operativo de una o más compuertas de descarga en uno o más vagones de ferrocarril. El sistema y el método monitorean parámetros que incluyen si la compuerta de descarga está abierta o cerrada, si el vagón de ferrocarril está en movimiento o no, y si el vagón de ferrocarril está en una ubicación donde es aceptable que la compuerta de descarga esté abierta. Los sensores llevan a cabo el monitoreo, y la información obtenida al monitorear los parámetros se usa para determinar si se ha producido un evento de notificación y, de ser así, una notificación de dicho evento puede transmitirse a un receptor remoto. Un cambio en el estado de cualquiera de los parámetros monitoreados puede activar la determinación de si se ha producido un evento de notificación.
