Abstract
La invención se refiere a métodos de producción de una planta con senescencia retardada que comprenden inducir al menos una eliminación, inserción o sustitución de nucleótido en al menos una copia de un gen que codifica la desoxihipusina sintasa (DHS) en la planta, en donde la eliminación, inserción o sustitución de nucleótido disminuye la actividad de DHS codificada por el gen en la planta.
