Abstract
La presente invención se refiere a cepas novedosas de bacterias ácido lácticas, más específicamente, cepas novedosas de Lactobacillus reuteri, capaces de utilizar etanolamina. Esta característica hace posible que las bacterias compitan por el mismo sustrato que patógenos que utilizan etanolamina, presentando así un medio eficaz para combatir infecciones que resultan de tales bacterias patógenas. También se proporciona un método de selección de más bacterias ácido lácticas que utilizan etanolamina, y también otros métodos y usos que incluyen dichas cepas novedosas y otras bacterias ácido lácticas que utilizan etanolamina.
