Abstract

Se describe un método para operar una celda de Espectrometría de Movilidad de Iones (IMS, por sus siglas en inglés), el método comprende obtener primero datos de la espectrometría de movilidad de iones (IMS) que indican el tiempo de vuelo de los iones a través de un gas de desplazamiento de una cámara de desplazamiento de IMS, identificar, en los primeros datos de IMS, una característica de referencia asociada con un grupo seleccionado de iones; proporcionar una dosis de vapor de agua en la celda de IMS para desplazar la característica de referencia a un intervalo de tiempo seleccionado; y controlar la dosificación de vapor de agua en el gas de desplazamiento con base en los segundos datos de IMS obtenidos usando la cámara de desplazamiento de IMS para mantener la característica de referencia dentro del intervalo de tiempo seleccionado.
