Abstract

Se presentan implantes y stents modularizables elaborados con aleaciones de metales bioabsorbibles de alambre ('biometales', por ejemplo, de magnesio y aleaciones), y métodos para elaborar estos implantes y stents. Los stents o implantes podrían incluir uno o más anillos formados por alambre o podrían comprender celdas interconectadas que formen redes que podrían servir como módulos que son mecánicamente ensamblados en stents, sin la necesidad que ciertos procesos de fabricación pudieran afectar la durabilidad y las propiedades físicas de los mismos.
