Abstract
Un aparato comprende: un sub-sistema CDR que comprende: un FFE; un componente de decisión acoplado al FFE; un sustractor acoplado al FFE y el componente de decisión; y un actualizador de peso de derivación acoplado al sustractor y el FFE; y un componente PR-MLSE acoplado al sub-sistema CDR; un método comprende: convertir una señal óptica con un primer formato de modulación en una señal eléctrica análoga; convertir la señal eléctrica análoga en una primera señal digital; ecualizar la primera señal digital en una segunda señal digital con un segundo formato de modulación, en donde el segundo formato de modulación tiene más niveles que el primer formato de modulación; y ejecutar CDR en la segunda señal digital.
