Abstract
La presente invención se refiere a materiales y métodos para mitigar los efectos de especies de haluro contenidas en corrientes de proceso. Una corriente de proceso que contiene haluro puede ser contactada con materiales de mitigación que comprenden óxidos de metal activos y un portador de alta área de superficie no acídico combinado con un sustrato poroso sólido. Las especies de haluro en la corriente de proceso pueden hacerse reaccionar con el material de mitigación para producir sales de haluro neutralizadas y una corriente de proceso que está esencialmente libre de haluro.
