Abstract

La presente invención se refiere a un sistema y a un método para transportar piezas en máquinas de formado. El sistema comprende un carro principal (1) y un dispositivo de sujeción (3) configurado para sujetar una pieza (P) y unido al carro principal (1). El dispositivo de sujeción (3) comprende una mordaza (31) para sujetar la pieza (P), y un actuador de mordaza (32) para provocar el movimiento de la mordaza (31) para que dicha mordaza (31) se cierre y/o abra para sujetar y/o liberar la pieza (P). El sistema comprende un actuador principal (2) para desplazar linealmente el carro principal (1), y un dispositivo de control configurado para actuar sobre ambos actuadores (2, 32), para provocar que el desplazamiento lineal (70) del carro principal (1) y el movimiento de la mordaza (31) se generen de una manera coordinada, en función del diámetro de la pieza (P).
