Abstract

La presente invencion se refiere a un metodo para producir una croqueta para gato con una densidad de aproximadamente 350 a aproximadamente 550 g/L, que comprende por lo menos los pasos de: a) proporcionar los ingredientes de las croquetas que comprenden por lo menos el 2% de grasa exogena (% basado en el peso total de los ingredientes de la croqueta), b) pre-cocer por lo menos parcialmente dichos ingredientes de las croquetas en un preacondicionador, en donde dichos ingredientes tienen un tiempo de residencia en dicho preacondicionador de por lo menos 2 minutos; c) extruir los ingredientes de las croquetas por lo menos parcialmente pre-cocidos en un extrusor con un DSOR inferior a 350 mm2 / tonelada metrica de rendimiento, d) secar el material extruido de la croqueta que resulta del paso c), de este modo obteniendo una croqueta apetecible para los gatos; la presente invencion tambien se refiere a una croqueta para gatos que se obtiene por este metodo, asi como a un metodo para incrementar el consumo de las croquetas de un gato.
