Abstract

Se implementan elementos de imagen de medios tonos pequeños un primer modulador de un sistema de proyección de modulación dual. Esta técnica utiliza múltiples medios tonos por marco en el pre-modulador sincronizados con una secuencia de bits modificada en el modulador primario para aumentar eficazmente la cantidad de niveles proporcionados por un tamaño dado del elemento de imagen en el modulador de medios tonos. Esta técnica soluciona el problema de la tasa de contraste reducida con niveles de luz bajos para tamaños de los elementos de imagen pequeños y permite el uso de PSF más pequeños que reducen los errores de halo en la imagen proyectada y pueden utilizarse en la proyección y visualización en 3D.
