Abstract

La presente invención se refiere a métodos para mejorar la resistencia a la fusión de composiciones de polímero termoplástico orientado que comprenden una formulación de cloruro de polivinilo, que comprende añadir un copolímero acrílico a la composición de polímero termoplástico orientado, en donde el copolímero acrílico comprende unidades polimerizadas derivadas de (i) 50 a 95 % en peso de monómeros de metacrilato de metilo y (ii) 5 a 50 % en peso de monómeros de (met)acrilato de alquilo de C2-C6, con base en el peso total de monómeros en el copolímero acrílico, en donde el copolímero acrílico tiene un Mw/GPC-PS de 4 x 106 g/mol o más.
