Abstract

La invención se refiere a una célula bacteriana transfectada o transformada genéticamente de un simbionte intestinal de un insecto que pertenece al orden Thysanoptera, en donde dicha célula se transforma para expresar ARN de cadena doble (ARNcd) activo contra al menos un gen de insecto seleccionado; un vector para transformar o transfectar dicha célula bacteriana; un insecto que incluye dicha célula bacteriana transformada y un método de control de plagas que emplea el uso de dicha célula bacteriana y/o dicho insecto.
