Abstract
Se proporciona un intercambiador de calor indirecto mejorado que está comprendido de una pluralidad de circuitos de serpentín, con cada circuito de serpentín comprendido de un recorrido de tubo o placa de sección de intercambio de calor indirecto. Cada recorrido de tubo o placa atiene por lo menos un cambio en su forma geométrica y puede tener un cambio progresivo en su forma geométrica que procede de la entrada a la salida del circuito. El cambio en la forma geométrica a lo largo de la longitud del circuito permite balancear simultáneamente el flujo de aire externo, los coeficientes de transferencia de calor internos, la caída de presión del lado del fluido interno, el área de sección transversal y el área de superficie de transferencia de calor para optimizar la transferencia de calor.
