Abstract

Se describen sistemas y métodos de detección de puntos ciegos de ejemplo. En una implementación, un vehículo primario detecta a un vehículo secundario adelante del vehículo primario en un carril de tránsito contiguo. Un método determina las dimensiones del vehículo secundario y estima una clase de vehículo asociada con el vehículo secundario según las dimensiones del vehículo secundario. El método también identifica una ubicación del espejo retrovisor lateral en el vehículo secundario y determina un punto ciego asociado con el vehículo secundario según la clase de vehículo y la ubicación del espejo retrovisor lateral.
