Abstract

La técnica de adquisición sísmica divulgada en la presente emplea una red de receptores y una metodología de procesamiento que están diseñados para atenuar el ruido de fondo sísmico que ocurre naturalmente registrado junto con los datos sísmicos durante la adquisición. El enfoque influye en el conocimiento de que el ruido de fondo sísmico que ocurre naturalmente se mueve con una velocidad de fase más lenta que las señales sísmicas usadas para la imagen y la inversión y, en algunas realizaciones, pueden llegar desde direcciones preferidas particulares. La técnica divulgada comprende dos pasos: 1) determinar a partir del ruido de fondo sísmico que ocurre naturalmente en los datos sísmicos preliminares un rango de velocidades de fase y amplitudes que contienen principalmente ruido y el nivel al cual el ruido necesita ser atenuado; y 2) diseñar una adquisición y método de procesamiento para atenuar ese ruido en relación con la señal deseada.
