Abstract
Se describen un aparato y un método de transmisión de señales de radiodifusión que utilizan multiplexación por división en capas; un aparato de transmisión de señales de radiodifusión de conformidad con una modalidad de la presente invención incluye un combinador configurado para generar una señal multiplexada mediante la combinación de una señal de capa de núcleo y una señal de capa mejorada en diferentes niveles de potencia; un normalizador de potencia configurado para reducir la potencia de la señal multiplexada a un nivel de potencia que corresponde a la señal de capa de núcleo; un entrelazador de tiempo configurado para generar una señal de tiempo entrelazado mediante la realización de entrelazado que se aplica tanto a la señal de capa de núcleo como a la señal de capa mejorada; un formador de tramas configurado para generar una trama de señales de radiodifusión utilizando la señal de tiempo entrelazado; y un transmisor de multiplexación por división de frecuencia ortogonal (OFDM) configurado para generar una señal piloto que es compartida por una capa de núcleo que corresponde a la señal de capa de núcleo y una capa mejorada que corresponde a la señal de capa mejorada.
