Description
Claims (10)
- エンハンストレイヤ信号のパワーを低減してパワーリデューストエンハンストレイヤ信号を生成するように構成されたインジェクションレベルコントローラと、
コアレイヤ信号および前記パワーリデューストエンハンストレイヤ信号を結合(combine)して、マルチプレキシングされた信号を生成する結合器と、
前記マルチプレキシングされた信号のパワーを、前記コアレイヤ信号に相応するパワーレベルに低下させることによって、パワーリデューストマルチプレキシングされた信号を生成するように構成されたパワーノーマライザと、
前記パワーリデューストマルチプレキシングされた信号において、前記コアレイヤ信号および前記パワーリデューストエンハンストレイヤ信号にともに適用されるインターリービングを行い、タイムインターリービングされた信号を生成するタイムインターリーバと、
前記タイムインターリービングされた信号を用いて、放送信号フレームを生成するフレームビルダと、
前記コアレイヤ信号に相応するコアレイヤおよび前記エンハンストレイヤ信号に相応するエンハンストレイヤが共有するパイロット信号を生成するOFDM送信機とを含み、
前記インジェクションレベルコントローラは、スケーリングファクターに相応する前記エンハンストレイヤ信号の前記パワーを減少し、前記パワーノーマライザは、ノーマライジングファクターに相応する前記マルチプレキシングされた信号の前記パワーを減少し、
前記インジェクションレベルコントローラによって、前記スケーリングファクターが前記エンハンストレイヤ信号に適用され、前記パワーノーマライザによって、前記ノーマライジングファクターが前記コアレイヤ信号および前記パワーリデューストエンハンストレイヤ信号に適用され、
前記スケーリングファクターは、前記インジェクションレベルコントローラに相応するパワー減少が大きいほど減少し、前記ノーマライジングファクターは、前記インジェクションレベルコントローラに相応するパワー減少が大きいほど増加し、
前記パイロット信号は、時間領域および周波数領域で副搬送波の位置に割り当てられることを特徴とする放送信号送信装置。 - 前記放送信号送信装置は、
前記コアレイヤ信号に相応するBICMエンコーディングを行うように構成されたコアレイヤBICM部と、
前記エンハンストレイヤ信号に相応するBICMエンコーディングを行うように構成されたエンハンストレイヤBICM部とをさらに含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の放送信号送信装置。 - 前記コアレイヤBICM部は、前記エンハンストレイヤBICM部より低いビット率を有し、前記エンハンストレイヤBICM部よりロバスト(robust)であることを特徴とする請求項2に記載の放送信号送信装置。
- 前記パワーノーマライザは、前記マルチプレキシングされた信号のパワーを、前記結合器によって上昇した分だけ低下させることを特徴とする請求項2に記載の放送信号送信装置。
- 前記ノーマライジングファクターは、0より大きく、かつ、1より小さい値であることを特徴とする請求項4に記載の放送信号送信装置。
- 前記インジェクションレベルコントローラは、
インジェクションレベルを、0.5dBを含む所定の間隔で、変化させることを特徴とする請求項5に記載の放送信号送信装置。 - 前記コアレイヤBICM部は、
前記コアレイヤデータをエラー訂正符号化するコアレイヤエラー訂正符号化器と、
前記コアレイヤデータに相応するビットインターリービングを行うコアレイヤビットインターリーバと、
前記コアレイヤデータに相応するモジュレーションを行うコアレイヤシンボルマッパとを含むことを特徴とする請求項2に記載の放送信号送信装置。 - 前記エンハンストレイヤBICM部は、
前記エンハンストレイヤデータをエラー訂正符号化するエンハンストレイヤエラー訂正符号化器と、
前記エンハンストレイヤデータに相応するビットインターリービングを行うエンハンストレイヤビットインターリーバと、
前記エンハンストレイヤデータに相応するモジュレーションを行うエンハンストレイヤシンボルマッパとを含むことを特徴とする請求項7に記載の放送信号送信装置。 - 前記エンハンストレイヤエラー訂正符号化器および前記エンハンストレイヤシンボルマッパの組み合わせは、
前記コアレイヤエラー訂正符号化器および前記コアレイヤシンボルマッパの組み合わせより少なめにロバスト(less robust)であることを特徴とする請求項8に記載の放送信号送信装置。 - 前記結合器は、
前記コアレイヤ信号および前記エンハンストレイヤ信号より低いパワーレベルの1つ以上の拡張レイヤ(extension layer)信号を、前記コアレイヤ信号および前記エンハンストレイヤ信号とともに結合することを特徴とする請求項9に記載の放送信号送信装置。
