Abstract

Un controlador para un vehículo autónomo recibe señales de audio a partir de uno o más micrófonos e identifica sonidos. El controlador identifica además una ubicación estimada del origen del sonido y el tipo de sonido, es decir, si el sonido es un vehículo y/o el tipo de vehículo. El controlador analiza datos de mapas e intenta determinar un punto de referencia dentro de una tolerancia de la ubicación estimada. Si se encuentra un punto de referencia correspondiente a la ubicación estimada y al tipo del origen del sonido, entonces se incrementa la certeza de que la fuente del sonido está en dicha ubicación y que es dicho tipo de fuente de sonido. Se lleva a cabo entonces la evitación de colisiones con respecto a la ubicación del origen del sonido y su tipo con la certeza aumentada utilizando los datos de mapas.
