Abstract
Esta invención se refiere a una composición que es un pesticida natural y orgánico, específicamente para mitigar, controlar y tratar microorganismos patógenos fúngicos, virales y bacterianos en los productos agrícolas, tales como cultivos de raíces, frutas y verduras. Ejemplos de estos microorganismos causantes de enfermedades son Mycosphaerella fijiensis causante de la enfermedad negra de Sigatoka en Cavendish (plátano), Ralstonia solanacearum causante de la enfermedad de Moko en Cavendish (plátano), Lasiodiplodia theobromae causante de putrefacción blanda o putrefacción de la fruta en cultivos y frutas, Fusarium oxysporum que ocasiona marchitamiento de Panamá en frutas y cultivos, y muchos otros. La composición es un producto fermentado de plantas tropicales, fuente de carbono, fuente de proteínas (nitrógeno), y un agente portador. El producto fermentado puede ayudar a fortalecer el sistema inmunológico de la planta para combatir las enfermedades patógenas. Dado que todos los constituyentes principales de la composición se consideran seguros en general, se encuentra que este pesticida natural no es tóxico y es seguro para los seres humanos y los animales, y ambientalmente benigno.
