Abstract
Se proporciona un aparato para pulir llantas para una cubierta de llanta que tiene una pluralidad de cintas de acero dispuestas en esta. El aparato para pulir llantas incluye una unidad de cubo para soportar y girar una cubierta de llanta y una unidad raspadora que incluye una escofina giratoria para pulir una cubierta de llanta. Se proporciona un sistema de detección de cintas de llanta que incluye un elemento de bobina inductora y un sensor. El elemento de bobina inductora se configura y se dispone con relación a la unidad de cubo de manera que cuando el elemento de bobina inductora se conecta a una fuente de alimentación de corriente alterna, el elemento de bobina inductora induce una corriente en las cintas de acero de una cubierta de llanta soportada sobre la unidad de cubo. El sensor se configura para producir una señal cuando la escofina giratoria se somete a una tensión. Una unidad de control se configura para ordenarle a la unidad raspadora que deje de pulir una cubierta de llanta cuando el sensor produce la señal.
