Abstract
La presente invención se refiere a un filtro coalescente para purificar un fluido el cual contiene un portador y al menos un contaminante líquido mediante la coalescencia de al menos un contaminante, en donde el filtro coalescente incluye una entrada para suministrar el fluido a un elemento de filtro presente en el filtro coalescente, en donde el elemento de filtro incluye un medio coalescente primario el cual se proporciona para la coalescencia del al menos un contaminante en el medio coalescente primario durante el desplazamiento del fluido a través del medio coalescente primario, en donde el filtro coalescente además incluye una salida para descargar el contaminante sometido a coalescencia del elemento de filtro, en donde el medio coalescente primario comprende al menos una capa de un material poroso, en donde el medio coalescente primario tiene un grosor total de al menos 3.5mm.
