Abstract

Para proporcionar una combinación de un barreno de cilindro y un anillo de pistón que tiene una excelente resistencia al gripado y resistencia al desgaste con baja pérdida de fricción bajo condiciones de deslizamiento severas con una alta carga aplicada a un motor, por medio de una técnica de atomización térmica de un barreno de cilindro que permite usar una aleación de aluminio moldeada usual, un recubrimiento a base de hierro térmicamente atomizado formado en una superficie deslizante de anillo y pistón de un barreno de cilindro, que tiene una Rpk de menos de 0.20 µm en un perfil de aspereza de superficie, se combina con un recubrimiento de carbono duro formado en una superficie deslizamiento periférica exterior del anillo de pistón, que tiene una Rpk de menos de 0.15 µm en un perfil de aspereza de superficie, en un motor de combustión interna.
