Abstract
El objeto de la patente es un método y un sistema sostenibles para limpiar impurezas, principalmente sulfuro de hidrógeno, y enriquecer biogás con una concentración de sulfuro de hidrógeno de hasta 2 % (20000 ppmv), preferentemente producido en estaciones depuradoras de aguas residuales (EDARs) a biometano, en el que el sistema comprende una columna de absorción física de burbujeo no presurizada a contracorriente que tiene un ratio de flujos líquido de entrada-gas LI/G elevado mayor que 1 y preferentemente igual o mayor que 3 e igual o menor que 10, para alcanzar una eliminación simultánea de sulfuro de hidrógeno y dióxido de carbono. El presente sistema puede estar incorporado por ejemplo en una estación depuradora de aguas residuales existente, de tal modo que el agua de lavado sea el agua residual tratada de primario de la planta, y preferentemente el biogás para ser enriquecido sea producido en los digestores anaerobios de la propia planta, y que también incluye medios de regeneración del agua de lavado en el reactor biológico de la propia planta utilizado para el tratamiento secundario.
