Abstract

La tecnología presente relaciona a un dispositivo de reproducción, un método de reproducción, y un medio de reproducción que permite gráficos con un brillo apropiado para ser desplegado en un video teniendo un rango dinámico amplio de brillo. Un medio de grabación o registro, en el cual el dispositivo de reproducción de un aspecto de la tecnología presente realiza la reproducción, graba los datos codificados de un video extendido que es un video que tiene un segundo rango de brillo que es más amplio que el primer rango de brillo, la información característica del brillo que representa una característica del brillo del video extendido, y los datos de gráficos que están superpuestos en el video extendido y que tienen el primer rango de brillo. El dispositivo de reproducción convierte un primer valor de pixel de los gráficos a un segundo valor de pixel en la característica del brillo del video extendido representado por la información característica del brillo, el segundo valor de pixel representando el brillo que es equivalente al brillo representado por el primer valor de pixel en una característica del brillo de los gráficos, y sintetiza el video extendido, el video extendido siento obtenido por la decodificación de los datos codificados, junto con los gráficos teniendo el segundo valor de pixel. La tecnología presente puede ser aplicada a reproductores que reproducen contenidos.
