Abstract
La invención se dirige a un rotor de un sistema de freno de disco para vehículos de servicio pesado. El rotor incluye un disco interior y un disco exterior. El disco exterior se separa del disco interior, y una pluralidad de pasadores se extienden entre y conectan rígidamente el disco interior y el disco exterior. Un manguito incluye un extremo interior y un extremo exterior, y se colocan dentro de un perímetro interior del disco exterior. Un miembro de conexión se extiende entre y conecta rígidamente un perímetro interior del disco exterior al extremo interior del manguito. La unión de disco interior al manguito y los pasadores de interconexión cooperan para mejorar la resistencia del rotor al esfuerzo térmico creado durante el frenado, incrementando de esta manera el desempeño y la vida del rotor.
