Abstract

Un tapón para perforación de pozos que comprende: (a) un mandril que se forma a partir de un material degradable; (b) un par de anillos que se colocan en una superficie periférica externa ortogonal a la dirección axial del mandril; al menos uno de los anillos se forma a partir de un material degradable; y (c) al menos un miembro de caucho circular de diámetro expandible que se coloca en una posición entre el par de anillos en la superficie periférica externa ortogonal a la dirección axial del mandril; el porcentaje de pérdida de masa en el material degradable después de la inmersión durante 72 horas en agua a una temperatura de 150 °C es, preferentemente, de 5 a 100 %; y un método de perforación de pozos que comprende la etapa de llenado del orificio del pozo mediante el uso del tapón para perforación de pozos, en donde una parte o todo el tapón para perforación de pozos se degrada después del llenado.
