Abstract
La presente invención se refiere a un proceso para procesar un jarabe que comprende licuar una suspensión de almidón granular acuosa con una variante de alfa-amilasa que comprende una alteración en una o más posiciones que corresponden a cualquiera de las posiciones 1, 2, 68, 71, 126, 133, 142, 144, 156, 158, 176, 185, 201, 205, 213, 239, 279, 316, 318, 360, 416, 437 y 450 de la SEQ ID NO: 1 para proporcionar material que contiene almidón licuado, sacarificar el material que contiene almidón licuado en presencia de una glucoamilasa y una pululanasa derivada de Bacillus deramificans, Bacillus subtilis, Bacillus amyloderamificans o Bacillus acidopullulyticus para proporcionar un jarabe de dextrosa y opcionalmente isomerizar para proporcionar un jarabe de fructosa.
