Abstract
Se proporciona un método de reparación de páncreas enfermo o disfuncional o del hígado; el método consiste en preparar una suspensión de células madre y/o células progenitoras tal como células madre del árbol biliar, células madre hepáticas, células madre pancreáticas o sus descendientes, células progenitoras comprometidas, de tejido sano del paciente o del árbol biliar de un donante no autólogo e injerto de las células en la pared de los conductos biliares cerca del órgano a ser tratado; el injerto consiste de células madre o progenitoras que se mezclan con biomateriales y, opcionalmente, con citoquinas y/o células nativas epitelial-mesenquimales apropiadas para la etapa de maduración de linaje de las células a ser injertadas; las células son específicamente introducidas al conducto común hepato-pancreático del sujeto para el tratamiento de las afecciones pancreáticas o a la pared del conducto biliar cerca del hígado para el tratamiento de afecciones hepáticas y permite migrar al páncreas o al hígado y ampliar y luego reconstruir parte o la totalidad de los órganos enfermos o disfuncionales.
