Abstract
Se proporcionan sistemas y métodos para monitorizar y caracterizar fluidos en formaciones subterráneas. En una modalidad, se provee un método para monitorizar un pozo que incluye: proveer una primera cantidad de uno o más gases nobles de volumen conocido, hacer circular al menos una parte del fluido y el o los gases nobles en una parte del pozo, detectar una segunda cantidad de los gases nobles en una parte del fluido que se ha hecho circular en una parte del pozo y determinar uno o más parámetros relativos al pozo (por ejemplo, volumen del pozo, tiempo de ascenso, características de flujo y/o eficiencia de un sistema de extracción de gases) con base en las cantidades de los gases nobles provistos y/o detectados en el fluido y/o los tiempos relativos en los que se proveen o se detectan los gases nobles.
