Abstract

Se proporciona un chip de Monitoreo de Unidad Reemplazable de Cliente (CRUM), un aparato de formación de imagen y un método de autenticación. El aparato incluye un cuerpo principal que incluye un controlador principal que controla operaciones del aparato, una unidad de consumible montada en el cuerpo principal para comunicarse con el controlador principal, y un chip CRUM que es proporcionado en la unidad de consumible y almacena información referente a la unidad de consumible. El controlador principal y el chip CRUM transmiten y reciben señales que incluyen datos y datos de detección de integridad entre sí.
