Abstract

Se describe una composición de recubrimiento, el método de preparación y el uso de la misma. La composición de recubrimiento comprende un primer componente que contiene una mezcla de silanos que tienen la fórmula R1n-Si-(OR2)4-n, en donde R1 se selecciona de alquilo sustituido e insustituido, cicloalquilo sustituido e insustituido, heterocicloalquilo sustituido e insustituido, arilo sustituido e insustituido, heteroarilo sustituido e insustituido, alquiltio sustituido e insustituido, alquilamino sustituido e insustituido, perfluoroalquilo sustituido e insustituido y haluro de alquilo sustituido e insustituido, que tienen de 1 a 5 átomos de carbono, R2 es alquilo de C1-C3, n=0-4 y n es, en promedio, no mayor que 1 y no menor que 0.54; un segundo componente que contiene una dispersión acuosa de nanoparticulas funcionalizadas de donde los grupos funcionales son capaces de condensarse con grupos hidroxilo; y un catalizador inorgánico y/u orgánico. La composición es capaz de formar un recubrimiento con alta dureza, alta resistencia al rayado, buena resistencia al impacto térmico, inercia al ácido y las manchas, transparencia al UV y excelente adhesión a sustratos tales como metal y vidrio.
