Abstract
Un sistema de verificación de dispositivo electrónico utiliza dos tipos diferentes de servidores para comunicarse con dispositivos electrónicos de usuarios. Un tipo de servidor, que puede ser un servidor de contacto rápido, se optimiza o configura para comunicaciones relativamente cortas y frecuentes con los dispositivos electrónicos. El otro tipo de servidor se optimiza o configura para comunicaciones menos frecuentes pero (normalmente) mayores con los dispositivos electrónicos. En algunas modalidades, los dispositivos electrónicos están configurados para comunicarse relativamente de forma frecuente (por ejemplo, cada pocos minutos) con el servidor de contacto rápido. Cuando se notifica que un dispositivo electrónico ha sido perdido o robado, el servidor de contacto rápido puede dar instrucciones al dispositivo electrónico para hacer contacto con el otro tipo de servidor para obtener instrucciones relacionadas con seguridad.
