Abstract
Un aparato y un método para seleccionar, retener o bioaumentar los sólidos en un proceso de lodo activado para mejorar el tratamiento de aguas residuales usando los tamices. Los tamices se pueden usar para separar y para retener los sólidos en base al tamaño, compresibilidad o resistencia al corte. Los tamices se usan para separar y seleccionar los organismos de crecimiento lento, organismos de asentamiento rápido, o los materiales agregados para absorber, para tratar o para eliminar componentes en el proceso de lodo activado. Un arreglo del intercambio de tamiz proporciona otro medio para seleccionar varias partículas. El índice o el tiempo de corte expuesto, la compresión de la partícula, o el SRT se pueden ajustar manual y/o automáticamente en respuesta a las lecturas detectadas desde un instrumento como un espectrofotómetro u otros métodos ópticos para optimizar la selección de organismos.
