Abstract
La presente invención se refiere a una célula hospedadora microbiana mutante que se ha modificado, preferiblemente en su genoma, para dar como resultado un déficit en la producción de un polipéptido que tiene actividad a-amilasa AmiC o un homólogo del mismo. Sorprendentemente se ha descubierto que cuando la cepa hospedadora microbiana mutante según la invención se usa en un método para producir un compuesto de interés, por ejemplo, una enzima, se obtiene una pureza mejorada del producto.
