Abstract

La presente invención se relaciona con un proceso para la síntesis continua, en un medio altamente concentrado, de elastómeros de dieno con un alto grado de conversión, que comprende las siguientes etapas simultáneas: a) introducir continuamente en un reactor de polimerización que tiene una fase gaseosa y está equipado con por lo menos un rotor de agitación y un dispositivo de descarga, por lo menos: i. uno o más monómeros a ser polimerizados, incluyendo por lo menos un monómero de dieno conjugado, y ii. de 0% a 70% en peso de un solvente orgánico, calculado con relación al peso total del monómeros más solvente, b) polimerizar continuamente el monómero(s), c) agitar el medio de polimerización por medio del movimiento continuo de por lo menos un rotor de agitación alrededor de un eje de rotación, d) descargar continuamente la pasta de elastómero que resulta de la polimerización, e) transportar continuamente la pasta de elastómero descargada a un dispositivo de cortado y cortarla en partículas, y f) remover el solvente de las partículas de la pasta de elastómero y g) recuperar el elastómero de dieno de las partículas de esta manera obtenidas y caracterizado porque: 1 - el grado de conversión de por lo menos 60%, en el limite del primer tercio del volumen de reacción del reactor de polimerización y 2 - la desviación estándar de la función de distribución del tiempo de residencia en el reactor de polimerización es mayor que el tiempo de residencia medio dividido por 2v3. Este proceso de polimerización, el cual es aplicable en un medio altamente concentrado, exhibe un aumento en la productividad, en particular, haciendo posible alcanzar un alto grado de conversión que puede ser de hasta 100%, y permite la flexibilidad en términos de la implementación del mismo.
